PVC (Polyvinyl) film is the most common film used for heat packaging due to the low cost and high film clarity. Fast sealing and shrinking times offer excellent production performance. Film transparency and glossiness aids in product presentation. The high durability makes it suitable to use in food and non food packaging. However it is not suitable for cold food store as film becomes brittle at low temperatures. It will also produce an odour when applying heat source, fume extraction required.
